lebua at State Tower Bangkok Reviews -Lebua is amazing! I love this hotel so much that I regretted that I only stayed there for 1 night. It's not enough! I really didn't want to check out of my room. It was the most amazing hotel amongst 4 hotels that we stayed during our Thailand trip. The staff of all levels were so professional, friendly, helpful and clearly they love their jobs. The hotel itself is immaculate and in great location. So close to Bangrak - foodie heaven.
We stayed at Deluxe room. The hotel's doorman was so friendly that he welcomed us so warmly when we arrived. The checkin was fast and efficient. We waited for maybe 5 good minutes while they checked our passports for security reason. Then a very nice lady staff came out and showed us the workpapers. She even so kindly asked us if we wanted twin bed or king bed. We actually preferred king bed, but then she said the balcony would be facing hospital. Well we didn't want that! And she recommended us to take the twin bed room, which we did! Yay!
It just showed how the staff really do care about your quality of stay in Lebua. If she didn't care, she wouldn't even bother asking me or recommending me anything,
The room was spacious, clean, smelled great and the balcony was without a doubt the first place I went straight to Hahaha
You have to sign a document if you want to open the balcony. And you have to ask the porter to unlock it for you. The view from the balcony was amazing!
There's living room which we didn't use at all and tv. Then the bathroom...it was hugggeeeeee!!!! It's a size of my room! The amenities were complete and just what you needed. There's storage cupboards, microwave, coffee/tea maker complete with coffee/tea sachets, glasses and some cutlery. There's hairdryer, robes and sandals too.
The beds were soooo comfy and we just slept like a baby! zzZZZzzz
The breakfast at Cafe Mozu was the highlight too. Endless choices of foods! There's sushi, salads, cereals, eggs stations, all sorts of pastries, breads and jams, hot food, desserts, juices etc etc etc...The pastries and breads are all freshly wood-baked. The patisserie is amazing! You could very well spend your breakfast and lunch time there. It's delicious and so fresh! It's also located right next to the hotel's swimming pool. The designs of the cafe were beautiful. Make sure you get up there early because otherwise you have to queue up for tables.
We spent the dinner at Breeze. YUMMY food and best dinner we've had! The views...OMG are to die for! It's not cheap (we spent dinner for 2 for 6940THB), but we enjoyed it tremendously. The service was top notch. Very romantic!
The only thing to comment is the candlelight on our table that kept being blown off by the winds. It could get a bit annoying in the beginning when we needed to see the menu to order food because there's no other lights, but the staff did keep constant eye out on every table and quickly lighted them back up if they were blown off.
After the dinner we went to 64th floor to Skybar. Once again needless to say, the views are beautiful! The bar was packed but we managed to find spots standing at the edge so we really enjoyed the views. We had 2 of their most popular cocktails...Hangovertini and Pink on the Roof. Nice!
After all of this good comments, I do want to share one odd thing that happened during our stay
When we checked in, it was already 5.30ish pm. And we quickly rushed to get changed because we had the dinner appointment at 7.30pm. Because we were rushing we didn't bother closing/locking our luggages thinking, surely there's no housekeeping service at night?
Well, not in my travel experience anyway.
But oddly enough, we came back from Skybar and we found our the hotel's slippers (which we had used before going out to dinner) had been moved from wherever place we left them before and now laid besides our bed. We're thinking, hang on, who's moved the slippers?
Well who else if it's not the housekeeping service, right?!
Anyway, our stuffs were all good. Nothing's missing, but we did find it odd why the housekeeping worked at night. Is that the hotel's normal routines? Had we known, we would have locked our luggages, or at least closed them, just for safety reason.
And I forgot to ask the receptionist when we checked out. Mmm peculiar indeed!
