Nice hotel and great beds - InterContinental Singapore Reviews

InterContinental Singapore Reviews - I booked a club room for one night and upon check in was upgraded to a Shophouse room. The young man checking me in, walked me to my room. He explained a few things and wished me a nice stay. The room itself was nice with a very comfortable bed. I faced the outside street but had zero noise, none. The bathroom was large with good pressure. I really like the rooms at this hotel. I have stayed here many times before but always just booked a normal room. 

The club lounge was very large but honestly I was not all that impressed. I arrived at 7pm and most of the food was gone. The staff were very busy getting drinks for people and cleaning up. I found it odd they were not replacing the cheese, and other food. I did have a nice charming Indian man ask me my preferred beverage once I sat down. I had two glasses of wine and it was 730pm. On the minute they started clearing everything out. At other hotels in Singapore (Conrad, Hilton, MO, Ritz) even when the "happy hour" is over there is no rush to clear things. Not here at the Intercon. It was like a race to see how fast they could clear the wine and booze away. The food really did not matter because as I stated before @ 7pm it was empty anyway. 

Overall I like this hotel. It has a good location connected to the small mall. The beds are great. However I really was shocked at the club lounge. Not impressed at all with the service and food. InterContinental Singapore Reviews
