Very disappointing - Marina Bay Sands Reviews

marina bay sands -I was on new years eve hotel for a few days in the. decisive for the choice was the roof terrace and the corresponding view of the fireworks.

Unfortunately that was the only positive for our stay. 

Our suite was on the 11 floor and was touted to us as a corner room. detrimental to the corner room was, unfortunately, that here also make an 8 and a 10 lane road on each other. on demand if there are alternative room would repeatedly denied.the suite generally made the impression as if the hotel was not newly built but only moderately renovated. the electric curtain was extremely noisy and has only half closed, the air conditioning was very loud and baseboards + furniture looked care.

I was impressed by the service in any form. after we were unloaded at the hotel, we were on our own. would have been a nice word that suites have a separate check in (which we find out in hindsight).on check in I met the first people in Singapore that could only broken English. would have been nice if they had referred us to an extra check in either or they would have told us when / where we (eg sundowner etc.) get our breakfast or our ultra high.

It was very tiresome to get allergy bedding:

- Asked at the check-in at 16.00 to this

- Demand at 22.00 after dinner if we could still get the bedding

- 23:00 nothing

- 23.30, someone came and got us 2 large towels (this is not a joke)

- 1:30 was the desired tv

Although we had tv but now drag race on the streets around us, a disco, a day ahead of us and bright room (due to the broken curtains) has made it impossible for us to sleep.against 4 we have decided that it does not work and have reported back to us at the front desk and have actually got another room (it was just someone checked out, haha!).

Our new room was then in the 52 floor and away from the noise and in a much better condition.

I do not know if it was because this was a new year and maybe half the staff had holiday but it was with us on the floor of the garbage 24std + and even in the lobby, the leftover of the previous night were still up to the afternoon.

Unfortunately, the fridges in the rooms are equipped with sensors, so you can cool his drinks only if you ordered from room service ice (from the second charge and chargeable). Unfortunately, it is not certain that you will also get ice and when it comes. (we have waited up to 6 hours).

What has annoyed me was intemperate statements of travel is that you automatically pay 10% for service and treated like idiot. (for ~ 60euro a day you should expect what may)

example to other hotels. on the orchard road you can go out times and prices to eat "normal" / drink here you have ansich always take a taxi or apple bite the bullet.

if you go out to eat for two appetizer, 1 bottle of wine (nothing special) and eating 3 courses, one is quickly at 500euro + - marina bay sands
